Ethan Hawke 'Rules for a Knight' At Bay/Bloor Indigo

Actor, writer and director Ethan Hawke visits Toronto touring his new book, Rules for a Knight.

The four-time Academy Award nominee signed autograph's as hundreds on fans filled the Bay/Bloor Indigo. The exclusive event enabled those who pre-purchased a copy to receive one to two signatures each, on a first-served basis.

Local book enthousiast Jan Ferguson who attended with friends together pre-purchased three copies (one each). Jan first heard about the event earlier on television while watching Ethan Hawke on 'Live! With Kelly and Michael.'

The crowd included that of bookworms, film buffs, and even professional 'TIFFers' (Toronto International Film Festival superfans). Lisa Campbell and her friend Matt have both seen the actor before though were still in attendance snapping photographs.

The book's storyline features a knight who may not return home from battle who writes a letter to his children teaching them all he knows. His intent is to leave them a compass for a journey they will have to travel alone.

The unforgettable fable is about honesty, forgiveness, courage, and solitude and is a sublime piece of fatherly writing.

Hawke also signed other books he has authored including Ash Wednesday, Before Midnight, and The Hottest State.
